Donna Tveten, OTR/L consults to Winter school in Winter, WI.  Donna has finalized a three day per week contract providing occupational therapy and Brain Gym(R) services to students at the Winter school.

Donna Tveten, OTR/L provides Occupational Therapy for the birth to 3 program for Sawyer County Wisconsin.  

Brain Gym Class Fees:

All Brain Gym 101classes are $350 each with a $35 savings given to students that enroll two weeks before the first day of their particular class.  To take advantage of this savings and pay by credit card, go to our online store and browse to classes. Enter 21 hours for a total of $315.00.  You can also mail a check to arrive two weeks before the start of your class to Afton Alternative Associates, Box 723, Lakeland, MN 55043.  For regular payment, that does not involve the two week discount, mail your checks to this same address. 

The above fee structure for Brain Gym 101 classes includes text books and snacks during the day.

Brain Gym Introductions  for School, Health Care, Business and Other Settings: Contact us at 715-266-2444 for these events.  We can come to you and are able to  accommodate to your needs for time, place and daily scheduling. 

How:  1 Hr Brain Gym Introductions include an introduction to Brain Gym and it's benefits, basic brain physiology and development to explain why brain gym works, the PACE system that prepares one to learn and an experience of applying the PACE system to the circumstances of your life.  3-Hr Brain Gym Introductions include everything offered in a 1 hour introduction plus an Introduction to Brain Gym balances and concrete examples of how they can benefit you.  

Who:  Anyone!  these workshops are being presented in a way that anyone can benefit from.  There will be examples of ways to use these activities with students, children, staff, families, clients and yourself.  These will be fun filled, informative sessions that will offer transformative tools for many situations.  This is an affordable opportunity to learn about brain Gym and experience for yourself the positive effect brain Gym can have in your life.  Concerns such as ADD, ADHD, PTSD, Anxiety, performance anxiety, depression, head injuries, learning disabilities, sports performance enhancement and others can be positively impacted by this approach.

Brain Gym 6 Week Groups:  Planning is now underway for more fall offerings.  "Brain Gym and Purpose Driven Weight Loss" is presently being offered in Eau Claire while "Brain Gym and Relationships" and other classes are now on the drawing board. General Brain Gym 6 week classes are available in Eau Claire and Afton.     

Family System Work and Brain Gym is a new addition to our array of services.  This approach combines family systems work to deal with family problems along with Brain Gym to ground, calm and assist in the neurological integration of new patterns of  behavior.  We will be using this combined approach to deal with ADHD, ADD, anxiety disorders and other problems with children as well as with their parents, when appropriate

Winter Health and Wellness in Sawyer and adjacent Counties in Wisconsin.  We are now able to offer in-home services to seniors in the Sawyer County area in northern Wisconsin.  Our mission with this project is to provide those key services that will allow seniors so inclined and able to continue to reside in their homes, rather than being forced to move in with relatives, into group or assisted living or into nursing homes.  Essential services such as daily living skills assistance, in-home rehabilitation services to help retain mobility and functioning and family counseling to deal with decision making and other issues often allow continued independence and make a big difference with aging parents, grandparents and relatives.  Donna Tveten has spearheaded this project.  Interested individuals can contact her at 715-266-2444 or 651-436-3845.  Those with service suggestions are strongly encouraged to contact us with their ideas.
